Your Questions, Answered

Planning a wedding comes with a lot of questions—especially when it comes to choosing the right venue. Below are the most common questions couples ask about pricing, policies, and the booking process.

  • Wedding venue pricing in San Diego can vary widely depending on location, guest count, and day of the week. Most venues range from a few thousand dollars for smaller events to significantly more for large, peak-season weddings. Choosing a flexible space and off-peak dates can help manage costs.

  • In some cases, yes. Pricing may be more flexible for weekday events, off-season dates, or last-minute availability. However, many venues use structured pricing to ensure consistency. It’s best to ask about options rather than discounts.

At Brick + Laurel, we focus on fair, transparent rates from the beginning.

Our Standard Rate is $149/hr or $2200 for all day (8a-12a).

We do offer a discounted weekday rate of $125/hr for Monday-Thursday.

  • Wedding venues often include more than just the space. Costs can reflect staffing, coordination, utilities, insurance, and demand—especially for weekends and popular seasons.

  • This varies by venue. Common inclusions may be:

    • Tables and chairs

    • Setup and breakdown time

    • Basic staffing or coordination

    • Access to the space for a set number of hours

Always confirm what’s included to avoid unexpected costs.

  • Most wedding venues require a non-refundable deposit to secure your date. This ensures the venue reserves your time and turns away other bookings. Always review cancellation and rescheduling policies before signing.

We refund deposits if you cancel within 48 hours of booking. After 48 hours, deposits are non‑refundable. If something comes up, contact us — we can often reschedule and apply your deposit to a new date.

  • Once a contract is signed, pricing is typically locked in. Additional costs may apply if you add services, extend time, or upgrade elements, but your base rate should remain consistent.

  • Most couples book their venue 9–18 months in advance, especially for peak wedding seasons. Booking earlier provides more flexibility with dates and vendors.

  • Yes, most venues offer complimentary tours. A tour allows you to see the space, ask questions, and understand layout options before making a decision.

Brick + Laurel offers complimentary tours so you can evaluate the space before making a decision.
